I am passionate about a lot of things. I used to list my interests as writing, making websites (with inline styles, BLAH!), snowboarding, and camping. I'd never have thought I'd add things like computers, hacking, electronics, or making. But, alas, such activities are now some of my favorite things to explore.

I am passionate about education, teaching programming and computer science to kids, and learning more about electronics and computing for my own interest as well. I taught myself some Ruby and am learning Javascript for kicks, and I love programming. Maybe one day I'll compute for a living, but I do it for fun for now. My fresh perspective on getting excited over learning new things gets me even more amped on spreading the love of learning to others.

Hackerspaces are cool because they allow you to share your current knowledge, broaden your understandings, spread your excitement, and collaborate on the projects that result as a culmination of this process. I am happy to be a part of such an awesome thing.
